Mark grew up in the Miami area and played tight-end for the Miami Killian Senior High, where he was a Blue-chip All-American, All-City player, three letter sportsman in football, basketball and track and is a current member of the Miami Killian Hall of Fame.

Mark was recruited to the University of Miami under Lou Saban who later left and was replaced by Howard Schnellenberger (who Mark says he owes his career to).   Mark went to Miami as a tight-end and moved to tackle his junior year and excelled to receive two Player of the Game Awards, against Notre Dame and North Carolina, then was voted the Most Outstanding Offensive Lineman, 1982, presented by the Miami Touchdown Club. And later was voted to a Miami All-Time Team by the Miami Herald.

Mark Played in the East West Shrine Game and the North-South Senior Bowl and was drafted by the Denver Broncos as a 2nd round draft pick in 1983, playing seven years in the NFL.  Mark played four years with the Denver Broncos (1983-1986) and three years with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (1987-1989).

While with the Broncos, he was a member of the 1986 AFC Championship Team that played the Cleveland Browns in the famous AFC Championship game labeled “The Drive” and in SuperBowl XXI of the same season in Pasadena against the New York Giants.  Throughout his career he protected quarterbacks like Jim Kelly in college, then John Elway, Vinny Testaverde and Steve Deberg and Joe Ferguson.

Mark now resides in Colorado with his wife Nancy and two sons, Michael and Cameron.  He is involved in real estate sales and mortgage financing throughout the Denver metro area. He travels extensively and enjoys recreational and tournament fly fishing, outdoor writing and has been published in the Redbone Journal, The Denver Post, Florida Sportsman, and the Key West Magazine along with other magazines.  Mark also speaks to groups from time to time on different fishing destinations.

 Mark has been a long-time celebrity angler with the Mercury Redbone series of tournaments in the Florida Keys, The Mercury Grand Slam Celebrity Classic and a multitude of other International Destinations.   Mark hosts, going on its 8th year, the Colorado Rocky Mountain Fly fishing Classic in Aspen, Colorado, that raises roughly $55,000.00 each year for Cystic Fibrosis. Mark hosts and emcee’s his event in Aspen and the Costa Rica Classic.

Mr. Cooper has been involved in the real estate industry since 1988 while still playing football in the National Football League, working with a publicly traded company in Industrial Park Development. Residentially, Mark’s management experience spans almost two decades in multiple positions within the real estate industry. Mark has managed numerous high volume real estate branches for Coldwell Banker with 55-75 agents, ranking second in the state of Colorado in Gross Commission Income, Closed Revenue Units, Buyer Controlled Sales, and fourth in Listings Sold during his tenure.  His office ranked as high as 65th Nationally out of 2740 offices producing $5,228,535.00 in Gross Commission Income with over $174,000,000 in sales volume and 50th in the country with over 1250 Closed Revenue Units during the 90’s as a franchise office..

Mark has an extensive background in sales and marketing, management, subdivision development, and finance. Mark has consistently ranked in the top 20 in the NRT Colorado company, out of over 2200 agents along the front range.  His current personal real estate sales average 55 transactions per year for over $20,000,000 in sales volume. Mark’s sales background includes Luxury Homes, Relocation, New Construction, Spec Homes, Ranch and Land, Townhomes, Condominiums, Investment Properties, and raw land acquisition and the subdivision entitlement process.
